Since 1947, Blount Memorial has been providing health care close to home to the people of East Tennessee. Their mission is to continuously improve the health and well-being of their entire community and to work in partnership with others who share the core values of Blount Memorial Hospital. Through their website at http://blountmemorial.org, access to the hospital’s top-flight physicians, comprehensive services and advanced technologies is more convenient and immediate than ever before.
The Blount Memorial Hospital Nursing Scholarship was established in August of 2001. To be eligible for consideration for the scholarship, a student must be enrolled in the Pre-Nursing program of study at Pellissippi State Community College with the intent of pursuing a B.S. in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. The student must be a Blount County resident, be enrolled as a full-time student and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. They must also provide a written recommendation for the scholarship from their high school guidance counselor, college faculty advisor, teacher, or other recognized professional such as their employer.
The Blount Memorial Hospital Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship to a student meeting the scholarship requirements each year.
