Monday’s Scholarship of the Week is the Bradley Louis Sturm Memorial Scholarship established in September of 1999. Bradley Louis Sturm was born on May 2, 1956 and passed away on June 21, 1999. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and was a successful local businessman, a devoted family man, and a tireless community volunteer. To be considered for the Bradley Louis Sturm Memorial Scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 hours in a business-related major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must have demonstrated financial need. The student must also have a letter of recommendation from from his or her high school guidance counselor or college faculty advisor, teacher, or recognized professional person such as an employer. At least one student each year will receive a $350 scholarship.
Since its establishment in 1999, the Bradley Louis Sturm Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to 23 students for a total of $8,050.
