DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. (DMTN) is DENSO Corp.’s largest U.S. manufacturing facility. With five manufacturing plants and more than 2.6 million square feet under roof, the company employs more than 4,150 people and produces starters, alternators, instrument clusters, various automotive electronic products and inverters for hybrid vehicles.

Denso Manufacturing Tennessee established a scholarship for Pellissippi State students in April of 2004.

To qualify for consideration for the DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee scholarship, a student must be a graduate of a public Blount County high school, have demonstrated financial need and have a GPA of at least 2.5. The student must also have a  written recommendation for the scholarship from his/her college faculty advisor, teacher, or recognized professional such as his/her employer. Preference is given to full-time students. 

Impact

Since its establishment, the DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee Scholarship has been awarded to 69 students for a total of $24,150. We would like to thank DENSO Manufacturing of Tennessee for their generous support of our Pellissippi State Blount County students!
