Jerome Moon Scholarships

About

Jerome Moon was born and raised in Maryville and is a graduate of Maryville High School and the University of Tennessee. He served in active duty with the U.S. Navy and is a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was the president and publisher of The Daily Times newspaper for many years.

Jerome has always been a servant to the people of Blount County, serving as chairman of both the Blount County United Way and the Blount County Industrial Board. He has served on the Blount County Commission and is now a Tennessee House Representative. Jerome and his wife Debbie have two children and four grandchildren.

Jerome values education. He served as Pellissippi State Foundation Board Chair from 1985-1994 and established three Pellissippi State Scholarships in honor of special people in his life.

These three scholarships have provided financial assistance to 67 Pellissippi State Blount County students making a tremendous impact on the students, their families and the Blount County Community.
