KAMA (Knoxville Academy of Medicine Alliance) is a non-profit organization established in partnership with the Knoxville Academy of Medicine to
promote local health initiatives and to provide support to physician families.
KAMA provides a forum for support of the physician family from the training years through retirement and strives to further the work of Knoxville area physicians to improve the health of our community through philanthropic and educational endeavors. The Philanthropic Fund is what provides
monies to be used exclusively for charitable, scientific, safety and literacy or educational purposes. KAMA has three annual fundraisers. This money
is distributed as grants to local health-related organizations and as scholarships to medical and nursing schools. From micro-volunteer to leadership, KAMA provides opportunities for volunteers to be involved in community health outreach through both KAMA-sponsored programs and projects that partner with local health-care organizations.
