The Kesterson and Lee Scholarship

Monday’s Scholarship of the Week is the Kesterson and Lee Scholarship established in August of 1990 by Ron Kesterson and Christine Lee. The scholarship provides a $350 award each year to a full-time Pellissippi State student from Anderson County who has demonstrated financial need, at least a 2.0 GPA and a written recommendation for the scholarship from his/her high-school guidance counselor or faculty advisor if transferring from another college.

Ron Kesterson is the Pellissippi State Vice President of Finance. Dr. Christine Lee served as the Human Resources Director at Pellissippi State before moving on to become the Executive Director of Human Sources for Oak Ridge Schools before retiring in 2018.

Since it’s inception in 1990, the Kesterson and Lee Scholarship has been awarded to 29 students for a total of $10,150.
