The Pellissippi State Monday Scholarship of the Week for January 28 is the Shannondale Nursing Scholarship.

In 2008, Shannondale of Knoxville & Maryville, Tennessee established the Pellissippi State Shannondale Nursing Scholarship.
To be considered for the Shannondale Nursing Scholarship, a Pellissippi State student must be majoring in nursing, have verifiable financial need and be from Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier or Union Counties. A student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the high school or college last attended and must maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA to keep the scholarship during the next semester.
The Pellissippi State Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Traditional Pathway consists of four semesters of registered nursing classes in addition to other general education course requirements. It is designed to give the student the necessary skills and preparation for employment as a Registered Nurse (RN) after graduation. Graduates of the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program are eligible to apply for the National Council License Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a Registered Nurse. Our graduates have a 92% pass-rate on the exam.
The Traditional Pathway is currently offered at the Blount County, Magnolia Avenue, and Strawberry Plains campuses.

Students receiving the Shannondale Nursing Scholarship will receive $1,250 for fall semester and $1,250 for spring semester.
