Mobile Device Management (MDM)

All mobile devices (tablets, cell phones, etc) are centrally updated and managed by Information Services. Laptops are also managed by a dedicated computer technician. iPad carts are updated via mobile device management for app and the operating system.

Any faculty or staff member who requires a specific app for an iPad cart or device should contact the HelpDesk to request the app purchase. After the purchase, the MDM server will push the app to the appropriate device(s) and keep it updated as necessary. The MDM service also provides a mechanism to wipe a mobile device if it is lost or stolen.

All mobile devices and laptops owned by the college have encrypted drives but caution should always be used when considering storing college data on a mobile device.
