Pellissippi State uses “single sign on” or SSO for many of our online systems. This means that all PSCC systems will log you in with the same password. These include myPellissippi, email, online courses, library resources, campus wireless network, and login to campus computers. Sometimes you may get errors when trying to log in. Here are some common ones:
This means you had 5 unsuccessful login attempts within a short period of time. Wait 10 minutes and the security lock will automatically release your account.
Delete your cache and cookies from your browser. If you are no longer enrolled in classes, or accepted for enrollment in an upcoming semester, your account might be inactive and closed for login, even if the password change utility reports that it works for you.
Your password expires 120 days after you set it up. myPellissippi is the only system that may let you log in with an expired password. You will need to change your password to get access to the other systems.
Only current students have access to our active log-in systems such as email, D2L (online courses), library databases, wireless, or campus computers.
A U portal error is caused by web browser incompatibility with myPellissippi. You should try a different browser or different device to access myPellissippi.
If you are having trouble logging into myPellissippi or using features inside myPellissippi, your problem might be solved by clearing your browser cache and cookies (click for instructions).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Helpdesk staff cannot reset passwords over the phone because the caller’s identification cannot be confirmed. You can reset your password online or we will be happy to reset your password if you come to any PSCC Open Computer Lab with a photo ID.
