Informational: ETSU’s Educational Leadership and Higher Education Teaching Programs, 10/11/2021
October 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
During this Zoom informational session with Dr. Jill Channing, East Tennessee State University, Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, participants will learn about the Community College Leadership Certificate, Higher Education Teaching Certificate, Higher Education Leadership Master’s Degree, and Higher Education Leadership Ed.D.
ETSU’s Educational Leadership Programs provide training that leads to senior leadership career opportunities. Completion of a leadership credential is a strategic indicator for higher responsibilities. ETSU’s leadership programs provide a natural base for community colleges to develop their succession planning by identifying holders of this certificate as leaders or potential leaders that have dedicated themselves to improving their leadership skills.
The Higher Education Teaching Certificate provides training to enhance community college instructors’ abilities to design and implement high-quality curricula, using high impact evidence-based instructional practices informed by adult learning theories.
Upon the successful completion of the certificate (in Higher Education Teaching or Community College Leadership), students may articulate up to 15 credit hours into the Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) program in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership.
