Mindfulness for Emotional Intelligence – Part II

October 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm EDT

In today’s busy world employees and employers alike are searching for self-care tools to help combat stress and burnout in life. With the added component of the double pandemic (COVID-19 and racial reckoning), our capacity to breathe and center ourselves is fewer and farther between. How is it that we use the seemingly individual practices of mindfulness to engage in personal and communal healing and wellbeing? These sessions will explore the practice of Mindfulness (i.e., present moment experience) and Equitable Mindfulness, a novel framework which works to present the concept of mindfulness to *everyone* while being active in our respective communities to break down personal and systemic barriers.

Part II is a follow-up to the Zoom session that took place on September 8, 2021. This is an Equitable Mindfulness Gathering (follow-up session) on Zoom that includes the following learning objectives:
● The learner will begin conversation using the framework of Equitable Mindfulness.
● The learner will investigate their own emotional well-being over the past months and consider the question: How do we use these skills to support ourselves and others?
